Have you recently received your new Turkish ID card? Congratulations! Turkey’s online government portal, e-Devlet, lets you access a wide range of government services in one place—from family records to powers of attorney and inheritance certificates. Here’s how to get started and find some of the most useful services.
How to Log In to e-Devlet
Visit turkiye.gov.tr and select “Giriş Yap” (Log In).
You can sign in using your Turkish identification number (T.C. Kimlik No) and e-Devlet password. If you don’t have a password or if you don’t remember your password, you can request a new password at the Turkish Consulate in person.
Can You Log In Directly With Your New Turkish ID Card?
Yes, but simply having the card is not enough. The “T.C. Kimlik Kartı” login method requires a compatible card reader, your card’s PIN, and the e-Devlet ID card application installed on your computer. If you already have an e-Devlet password, you can use the password login option instead.turkiye
Verify Your Phone Number and Set Up Two-Step Login
Once you’ve signed in, review your contact information and security settings. e-Devlet distinguishes between confirming your phone number by SMS and verifying that number against your identity. An identity-verified phone number allows you to enable two-step login for additional account security.
One verification option uses the e-Devlet mobile app, an NFC-enabled (basically any smart phone) phone, and your new chip-enabled Turkish ID card. Follow the on-screen instructions for the verification method available to you. Phone verification is a security step—not a guarantee of access to every government service.
How to View Your Turkish Family Tree
To find the family-tree service, follow this path on your computer:
Kurumlar → Nüfus ve Vatandaşlık İşleri Genel Müdürlüğü → Alt-Üst Soy Bilgisi Sorgulama.
You can also open the Nüfus ve Vatandaşlık İşleri Genel Müdürlüğü agency page and select “Alt-Üst Soy Bilgisi Sorgulama.”
How to Look Up Your Powers of Attorney
To access the power-of-attorney lookup service, follow this path:
Kurumlar → Türkiye Noterler Birliği → Kişi Vekaletnameleri Sorgulama.
You can find this service on the Türkiye Noterler Birliği agency page.
How to Look Up an Inheritance Certificate
To access the Ministry of Justice’s inheritance-certificate lookup service, follow this path:
Kurumlar → Adalet Bakanlığı → Veraset İlamı Sorgulama.
You can also go directly to Veraset İlamı Sorgulama and sign in using one of the accepted authentication methods.
Türkiye Noterler Birliği also offers a separate service called “Veraset İlamı Sorgulama.” Keep in mind that these are two different agency services with the same name.
